What is a gel overlay?
Gel is brushed over your own nails in thin layers and cured under a lamp, so it is dry and hard the moment you leave. It adds strength without adding length, which makes it a good choice if your nails are already a length you like or tend to bend and break.
What happens at your appointment
Sisipho shapes and preps your nails, applies the gel in your chosen colour and finishes with a high-shine top coat. Bring a picture if you have a colour or design in mind. If you are wearing an old gel set, book a soak off as well so it can be removed gently first.
How long does it last?
Gel overlays typically last two to three weeks, depending on how fast your nails grow and how much you use your hands. Wearing gloves for cleaning and using cuticle oil helps them last longer.
